Why Tallow

Tallow is rendered from grass-fed beef fat and is one of nature’s most compatible moisturizers for skin.

Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, it closely mirrors the natural oils of our skin. It is deeply nourishing without clogging pores.

We use it because your skin deserves what’s real.

Because of that compatibility, tallow isn’t just something we use in one product, it’s the foundation of much of our skin care, from balms to deodorant and soap.

When an ingredient works this well with the body, we let it do the heavy lifting.

Suet VS Trim Fat

Not all tallow is the same.

We use suet , the dense, nutrient-rich fat surrounding the kidneys — rather than trim fat.

Suet renders into a cleaner, more stable tallow that’s especially well-suited for skin care.

The result is a balm that doesn't feel greasy but feels: smooth, supportive and familiar to the skin

It’s a difference many people notice as soon as they try it.

A Note on Craft & Formulation

While suet-based tallow is ideal for skin care, we’ve learned through experience that it isn’t the best fit for every application.

For products like hair care and leather or wood conditioning, we thoughtfully adjust our formulations to use the fats and oils best suited for those materials.

We don’t believe in forcing one ingredient everywhere, we believe in using what works best.
